As senior vice president of media services for MediaWhiz, a Matomy Media Group company, Peter Klein is responsible for the agency’s media buying practice. He is also charged with growing the agency’s Display Advertising and Data Acquisition divisions. Consistent with his former role as GM of Monetizeit, the MediaWhiz Affiliate Network, Klein continues to oversee the division to ensure that advertisers and publishers maximize their return on investment and continually improve their results.

Klein joined MediaWhiz in July 2008. He has more than 15 years of marketing and business management experience.

Prior to joining MediaWhiz, he was director of affiliate marketing for RocketProfit.com, where he developed and launched its affiliate network. He partnered with hundreds of advertisers and thousands of publishers, a relationship-centric management perspective he continues to employ today. While at RocketProfit.com, Klein was also responsible for all event planning at major conferences and trade shows, including DMA, ad:tech, Affiliate Summit, OMMA and LeadsCon.

Prior to RocketProfit.com, Klein held positions in both traditional and interactive media companies such as Cablevision Systems Corporation, Barnes & Noble’s enews.com and Publishers Clearing House.

Klein is an industry thought leader and has been published in Advertising Age, Direct Marketing News, Revenue Performance magazine and DMConfidential. He is a regular contributor to MediaPost’s Performance Insider column, where he writes about management-level trends and issues in performance and affiliate marketing. In addition to his industry writing, Klein is a member of the Performance Marketing Association, serving on its Industry Advancement and Agency Councils.

A member of the mThink BLUE BOOK Blue Ribbon Panel, Klein has been a speaker and moderator for conferences such as AffCon, OMMA Response, LeadsCon and the Performance Marketing Leadership Summit.

Klein holds a bachelor of science in business management and marketing from Cornell University.
