As director of marketing and communications at MediaWhiz, a Matomy Media Group company, Keith Trivitt oversees the performance media company’s global marketing, communications and marketplace branding strategy. By positioning MediaWhiz as a thought leader in performance marketing, he has brought widespread visibility to the company. He repeatedly breaks new ground approaching and executing strategic communications and marketing initiatives, evidenced in the repositioning of the company’s marketing strategy around content marketing, which has yielded thousands of new-business leads.
Prior to joining MediaWhiz in April 2012, Trivitt spearheaded the international advocacy program for the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), the public relations industry’s leading trade association. In that role, he managed executive and external communications functions, including public relations, advocacy, awareness and public affairs. Trivitt has also worked as a consulting partner at Sternberg Strategic Communications, a boutique public relations firm. He began his career in corporate marketing and communications at Illinois State University in Normal, Ill., where he served as the football media relations director and director of new media for the Illinois State Athletics Department.
An established industry thought leadership and speaker, Trivitt is regularly quoted in business and trade publications, including Advertising Age, Adweek, Direct Marketing News, MediaPost and iMedia Connection. In addition, he has spoken at a variety of advertising and marketing conferences, including OMMA Global, PRDaily PR Summit and the PRSA International Conference.
Trivitt earned a bachelor of science degree in kinesiology from Truman State University and a master’s degree in sports marketing from Illinois State University.
