ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
- Develop and enhance system implemented on a wide support base using design patter frameworks
- Provide assistance to other programmer analysts, as needed
- Assist departments with their web-based information needs
- Regularly meet with functional customers and committees
- Support installation and testing of complex software
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field, or equivalent work experience in software development
- Detailed technical knowledge and experience with using OOAD, J2EE Java, Javascript, serverside frameworks, Linux, web services, SQL and RDBMS such as DB2, Oracle or Sybase
- Strong technical knowledge and experience in the design, development, implementation and support of web-based integrated administrative information systems using system development methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to develop written specifications such as Strategies, General Design, Detail Design, and Test Plans to support Systems Development Life Cycle processes
- Proven project leadership ability and experience in directing several programmer/analysts engaged in the development, implementation and maintenance of sophisticated web-based computer applications
- Demonstrated experience in problem-solving techniques in the design, development and support of campus-wide web-based applications
- Ability to observe and make recommendations regarding performance or assigned staff
- Effective skill in written and verbal communications
- Ability to plan and organize day-today workload on short and long-term projects
